For our third assignment, we had to do paper cut outs. I was rather excited to get started off when we were given this assignment.
My main idea before starting this assignment was to make it as colorful as it can be, basically to play with colors because I've always loved putting in colors into my work.
and my theme for this assignment was Leaves
for my Balance & Symmetry :
I did a butterfly image, it's wings made out of leaves. why butterfly you ask? well, because butterfly represents freedom and its always in very colorful colors. and i did not want to just come up with a flower or leave just because my theme was leaves.
For Dominance, Space & Weight :
I got inspired by one of the images in google. I came across this cut out art in 3D. and to not completely copy the idea, i added some watercolor to my work to make it even more interesting. It took me a good few minutes to finish cutting the small branches of the tree and making sure it does not get wrinkly or anything so that it would be able to stand up proper for the 3D effect.

I definitely went Awe when I went around look at my other classmates work. The picture above is one of my classmate, Fariz work. Theme : fire. pretty cool huh? :) kinda regret now for not taking photos of the others.
